1. "Holding On"- An old gospel classic, Originally written & recorded by the Gospel lengend,
Dorothy Love Coates; Arranged by Marie Della Thomas, produced by Robert Thomas & Karl Marrett. "I learned this song at
a very young age. My mother taught it to my family. This is a true gospel classic! I remember the "Williams Brothers" recording
the classic in the late 70's, and so I said lets do a "2001 remake of this wonderful song! The song "Holding On" has been
such a great inspiration in my adult life. There's a message in the lyrics to encourage everyone not to give up, and to keep
the faith while "Holding On"! I pray it will be a blessing to everyone that hears it."
2. Don't You Realize"-
written by Johnny R. Stowers, Marie's oldest brother, produced by Marie Della Thomas, Robert Thomas & Karl Marrett. "My
brother Johnny wrote this song especially for me to sing. "Don't You Realize" is a question to the saints of God. When you
think of what God has done for you, then you can realize just how bless you are!"
3."Always There"- Written
by Marie Della Thomas, produced by
Robert Thomas & Karl Marrett. "God gave me this beautiful song at a turning
point in my life. I was in a very low state in my life, and I decided to just stay to myself. I didn't want to sing anymore.
One day while walking in the street, and feeling alone, God gave me this entire song "Always There"! The Lord drop this song
down in my spirit and I began to sing right there in the street. Even in the midst of my low state God let me know he was
there for me. I couldn't wait to get home and start working on this song. Every time I sing "Always There" I think about how
God changed my life. He has done so much for me.
4. "I Love Him" Written by Marie Della Thomas, produced by
Robert Thomas & Karl Marrett. "I Love Him" is my favorite song on the album. I was playing the piano one day to
relax. I felt a praise in my heart, and I began to tell the Lord I Love Him. And then the words came: "How can I tell you
just what he means to me?" I Love him is one of the first songs the DJ's in NYC played on the radio.
5. "Rise
and Live"-Written by Lydia M. Stowers, produced by
Marie Della Thomas, Robert Thomas & Karl Marrett. "Rise and
Live" is the title song on Marie's debut album. "My mother Lydia M. Stowers wrote this song, which is inspired by her own
personal testimony of how she gave her heart to the Lord in 1969. "I wanted to be a blessing to my mother, and a blessing
to the world. This song is truly a messeage that is needed!"
